Moon story

Moon Story
In a darkish spooky forest there is a little girl who is filling up her bucket in the dead of night. As she fills her bucket, the little girl, Lucy, feels as if she is being watched.

A very faint light flashes causing her to drop her bucket in the well with shock. Lucy turns around only to see the moon. She sighs with relief and sees her bucket in the well.

Then the flash of light from behind her got lighter, she looked behind again and saw a giant shiny eye beaming with light. Lucy froze with fright. She screamed so the giant creature ran away hurrying behind a hill in fright.

The creature peeped out to see what happened. The creature finally had the guts to come out. It came to Lucy and picked up the fence and put it down to move closer to her.

The creature stuck its hand down to get the bucket that was in the well and gave it to Lucy. Then it flew away. Afterwards Lucy saw his reflection in the well and knew she had made a new friend. The End

  1. "dead of night" and "had the guts" are great expressions to use in your writing Libby. You're getting better and better! I notice at the start of the story you write as if the story IS happening, later you write as if things have happened already. They're both fine ways to write as story, but you should pick one way and stick to it throughout the story.
